Hunter

Holy shit! And you all thought I had abandoned this comic, didn’t you?! Well, I didn’t!

And I have to say these pages are easily two of my favorites that I’ve EVER done.

Seriously.

The Chapter cover looks ominous and freaky. (It’s a cracked door with a black ‘light’ behind it seeping out, in case you can’t tell). And the innuendo that sets up the second page just works so well. I may be immature, but I couldn’t stop giggling at it.

God damn that black is growing on me. I wasn’t expecting to like it so much, but It really looks good on Hunter, don’t you agree? Again, don’t worry, The PKF will forever be in color…Unless a short arc is better served in black and white or Grey scale.

I almost added a third page, but I decided that it would be better served for next week…When stuff really goes down.

And I promise that I’ll have an update next Friday. At least around this time, if not earlier.

No update today. Sorry.

I know it sucks but on top of getting the next arc straight (Something I haven’t really done for Hunter) I’m also studying for a big test on Monday (yay, Summer School!).

But I’ll have something up on next Friday, I promise that the second to last (already?!) story line will start then. Or is it third to last? I might have another short one after the next one.

Bah.

Anyhow, sorry, but I’m feeling a little burnt out with all the crap I’m doing…But I’m not giving up yet!

First of all, what do you think about the Black and White? Even though her eyes may look it, that’s actually me just coloring them in lightly, it’s still black. I won’t be doing that often, but for a few character’s eyes, this is my plan. Susi will have one black and one white and hunter will likely have eyes like Sniper.

I ALMOST obscured the Puppeteer (his nickname for the time being) in black, but I decided not to…That’s too over used. Plus I don’t think that the ‘He’s a HAND?’ aspect would be as effective if I obscured him now and not later. You’ll get why by the end of the next chapter (or the beginning of the one after)…but yeah. I’m happy with it.

It feels weird not to have it in color…but I honestly like the look. I’m going to keep tweaking it, but I PROMISE this will never happen to The PKF…mostly because it would look odd as hell to me, but also because it doesn’t fit. It fits with Hunter…I don’t know why, but it does.

Tell me what you think, though I’m unlikely to change it. Though I’m still unhappy with making Sniper ‘white’…but I guess that I can get over that. I’m going to have to do a pinup with Her, Hunter, Susi and maybe even the Puppeteer after this ‘Book’ is over.

And now you see why I introduced The Hands last chapter.

…Too bad I’m the one that tends to get lost in there…

I had debated about having Henrick be the ‘puppet master’ here, but after much careful consideration I decided that that wouldn’t work for more reasons than I care to start explaining.

Also, Susi’s parentage is slightly revealed. I haven’t said her uncle’s first name yet for a few reasons, mostly because I’m still debating if I want it to resemble one of ‘The Devil’s’ names from history. My choices right now are Lucius (Lucifer), Decon (Deofol, Old English), or Marius (Metastopholies, from the Faust Drama or Bible, take your pick).

It’s a big decision since it kind of effects the whole of Hunter. I actually call him Lucius in my head right now, but that seems almost too simple…I’m actually starting to like Marius…I don’t know. Tell me what you think.

But this is one of the reasons that Susi has been allowed to go to Earth, when there’s only a FEW devils allowed at once. An uncle that’s in high places helps a lot.

But, like I said, this chapter was extremely short.

I hope you enjoyed it (and the new black and white art style). Be here next Friday for the start of a new Chapter…that’s not as short as this one, but will still likely be pretty damned short.
